On this week's show, Mike and Josh make up for a major screw up by remembering the late Don Matthews and pat themselves on the back for the show being mentioned on the CFL's website last week. After that, they break down Hamilton's season-opening loss to the Argos, what the season-ending ACL injury to Terrence Toliver means for the team going forward, discuss the signing of former Argo DB Aaron Berry, and get into some TSN Top 50 talk by telling you which Ticats made the list, which Ticats were snubbed, which CFL players shouldn't have made the list and which non-Ticats were snubbed. Josh then asks Mike why the Als signed Drew Willy, and they hand out a Bozo of the Week award, give you their weekly CFL picks and answer some rather ingenious questions from a couple of listeners.
It's the season preview episode, y'all! That's right, the 2017 CFL season starts this week and Mike and Josh have you covered, but not before they wrap up the preseason by talking about Hamilton's 23-16 loss to the Argos last Friday night at Tim Hortons Field. After that, they discuss the Ticats cuts, the notable cuts from around the league and Josh hands out a Bozo of the Week award. Then they preview the Ticats season opening game against the Argos and do a little prognostication by giving you their predictions for the season: who will finish where, who will win the Grey Cup and who will take home some of the CFL awards. And things end off just like they did last year, with the boys making their picks for Week 1 of the regular season.
Mike and Josh review Hamilton's pre-season loss to the Redblacks, talk about the Ticats signing of former Argos QB Logan Kilgore, the team once again streaming their home preseason and the anger from fans that all pre-season games aren't televised, Edmonton being named host of the 2018 Grey Cup, the Argos adding Bear Woods and subtracting Winston Venable, the CFL's new lacklustre fantasy game, the future of Vince Young in Saskatchewan, and end things with a preview Hamilton's final pre-season game against the Toronto Argonauts this Friday at Tim Hortons Field.
